The Cancer Services Board of Directors announced today, February 8, 2015, that Jill Roshto has been named CEO of Cancer Services, effective February 23, 2015. Roshto joins Cancer Services after serving as director of development for the LSU College of Humanities and Social Sciences for the past three years and, prior to that, as director of development and marketing at LSU’s Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute.

“We are thrilled and feel fortunate to be able to welcome someone with Jill’s background and extensive professional experience to serve as CEO for our organization,” said Nick Speyrer, Cancer Services Board president. “Jill’s expertise as both a leader and fundraiser will play an invaluable role in the continued growth of Cancer Services. Most importantly, her passion for the Greater Baton Rouge area truly shines in every sense of the word.”

“Our commitment to this community has never been stronger and, under Jill’s leadership, we look forward to furthering the role Cancer Services plays in the lives of those living with cancer in our community,” Speyrer said.

Roshto replaces Mimi Riche’, who has served as the agency’s interim CEO since November 2014. Riche’ also served as Cancer Services’ executive director from 2006 to 2013.

“What an honor it has been to once again serve in a leadership role at Cancer Services,” Riche’ said. “Being a part of this organization is a privilege, and I am thrilled to hand over the reins to Jill. Her vision and knowledge of this wonderful community are perfect fits for both the present and future of Cancer Services.”

In addition to the development roles she held at LSU, Roshto’s professional experience includes serving as corporate gifts director for Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry and owning a thriving small business in the Baton Rouge area. She is a Baton Rouge native and a graduate of LSU, where she earned both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration.
