Support group for people affected by cancer in Ascension Parish. Led by a social worker, support groups allow individuals to meet others experiencing similar things and give people the chance to:
- share questions, concerns and feelings
- connect with others who understand
- reduce levels of stress and anxiety
- increase coping skills
- develop a sense of well-being
This group meets every fourth Wednesday of the month at noon. For more information, call 225-927-2273. No RSVPs required. Lunch is served
