Dear friends of Cancer Services,
As a proud member of the Greater Baton Rouge family, we are deeply saddened by the recent events in our great community. Our hearts and thoughts are with those affected by this historic flooding.
Due to the devastation in our community, we will be postponing our signature fundraising event, Capital Chefs’ Showcase, scheduled for September 8. As you all know the River Center is currently being used as a shelter and while that will not continue forever, we felt it was not the right time to host an event at that location. Additionally, we know that many of you, your families and co-workers have been affected. This was a very difficult decision to make but we know that the focus right now for all involved is to help those in our community recover from the damages.
Cancer Services will be a part of that effort through our Emergency Fund designated for those touched by cancer who have also been impacted by the flooding. If you or someone you know needs our assistance, please do not hesitate to call us at (225) 927-2273.

Thank you for your continued support of Cancer Services. We will be in contact in the near future to keep you abreast of plans for Capital Chefs’ Showcase. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at (225) 927-2273.
Sincerely,
Jill Roshto
