COVID-19 Updates

Cancer Services’ goal is simple – to improve life for those living with cancer. That’s why we’re committed to helping keep our clients and community safe and healthy.

Cancer Services will remain open during our regular hours, but here are some things we’d like our clients to be aware of:

    • We have implemented a drive-through service for those who are in need of nutritional supplements and/or medical supplies.
        • A location has been set up in our parking lot for clients to drive through and pick up supplies without having to leave your vehicles. Someone can pick these items up for you, but they must have the client’s name and date of birth.
    • All Cancer Services events and support groups have been postponed until further notice.
        • For updates on changes to this and other things regarding Cancer Services, please check this page and/or our social media channels (i.e., Facebook, Instagram & Twitter).
    • If you or those impacted by cancer need information, resources or other assistance, please call our office at (225) 927-2273 during our regular hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
        • We are here to help. If you need anything, please call us. You are not alone.

Cancer Services is working closely with federal, state, and local health officials along with our partners to align with their rules and restrictions to ensure every necessary step is taken to protect the health of our clients and team members. This is includes the canceling of all volunteer shifts at this time.

Please consider a gift today to make an immediate impact on how Cancer Services can provide immediate relief and responses as these never before seen challenges emerge. You can help ensure every client and staff member working on the front-lines of this outbreak receives the unique assistance they require today.

Checks can also be mailed to 550 Lobdell Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA 70806.

Please remember the most important things that you can do today to impact your health and the health of your loved ones is to wash your hands and cover your cough. Respiratory viruses are spread through coughing and sneezing near others and by picking up germs on surfaces and touching our eyes, nose and mouth.
