The chefs, restaurants and caterers at Capital Chefs’ Showcase are the core of this event and keep over a thousand guests coming back year after year with their delicious delicacies.  Participants have a unique opportunity to showcase their delicious cuisine to guests from across the capital area.  See below to learn more about participation benefits and event logistics.

Capital Chefs’ Showcase

Capital Chefs’ Showcase is Cancer Services’ signature fundraising event and has been a community tradition for over 30 years.  Guests at the event are treated to delicious cuisine from the community’s finest chefs and caterers, live music, silent and live auctions, an open bar and more!  Funds raised through Capital Chefs’ Showcase help Cancer Services support the mission of improving life for those living with cancer.

Event Logistics

  • Participants are asked to feature one food option and make approximately 800 sample size servings. Cancer Services anticipates approximately 1,000 guests at the event, but understands that all guests may not sample from every booth.
  • All cooking must be done prior to the event. Sternos and electric stove tops are permitted, but bunson burners and open flames are not allowed.
  • Participants must bring everything needed to warm, store and serve food.  Cancer Services will provide paper products to distribute food to guests.
  • Each participant will have a 10’x10’ space equipped with two six foot skirted tables, two chairs, trash receptacles, sign with restaurant or catering company name and food sign.  Additional decorations may be set up around the booth area, if desired.
  • All booths must be set up by 5:45 p.m. and at that time, a picture will be taken on the stage. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m.  Please plan to stay for the duration of the event.

* Chefs and caterers are invited and encouraged to attend, but it is not required. Catering company and restaurant staff may serve food.
