Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge hosted its 19th Annual Camp Care on July
8-12, 2013. Camp Care is a week-long summer day camp for children with cancer
and their siblings. Kids enjoy a week of fun that includes bowling, rock climbing,
fishing and amusement parks. A highlight of Camp Care 2013 was visiting the LSU Football Operations building and getting to meet some of the team! An on-site nurse provides medical oversight while the children have fun in a safe environment. Camp Care is free of charge to all campers but the chance to laugh, play and experience childhood outside of their diagnosis is priceless.
